Works In Progress & Fabriholic Anonymous Confession

Progress is happening! It's happening very sloooowly but it is happening.  lol.

I have completed the Butter Churn quilt top. Next steps: baste, quilt, bind!

This needs to get done before March Break is over or it will not be done in time for baby!

Also started but not on my WIP list is a hybrid hand and machine piecing project:
So far, it's just been hand pieced, but it is a longer term project. I am not sure how big it will be.  But I am using the Inklingo method and freebie collection to create the pieces.  There were a few hiccups with the printing but overall it seems to be going well.

I must confess that I have broken my fabric fast. Not once but twice {insert embarrassed me here}.  Once was for the Butter Churn quilt because I was short 11 background squares but then I ordered the wrong colour of fabric (I have the Kona Colour chart now...).  The second time was when I purchased the backing fabric - which doesn't count as part of the fabric fast, but the 6 FQ's I bought with it do...

Now, I am determined that I will do even more in the next 3 months to use up my stash.  I am participating in the March Economy Block swap on Threadbias.  I also have another baby quilt that is due in a few months and a bunch of QAL's that I want to finish or start.

Wish me luck ladies and gents!

Quilt Musings - this is why I am trying not to go into the shops during my fabric fast! lol.

Jayne thank you so much. I believe it is a churn dash variation. The pattern is from American Patchwork & Quilting Feb2013 issue. I have so many magazines but I usually make my quilts from blog tutorials. lol

Hi Soma, thanks for visiting! The pattern really lends itself to accuracy (lucky for me).

It makes me wish for spring even more.
It's so hard to do a fabric fast when there is such lovely fabric to buy! haha! Your quilt is lovely and I love the modern look of it!
